ObamaCare Gutting the Middle Class

Economic analyst John Mauldin says Obamacare may actually create a “new underclass” with “disastrous implications for the country.” It is creating an unintended rise in part-time jobs and a diminishing of full-time jobs. While full-time jobs have declined, part-time jobs have increased by three million since 2007. According to the Congressional Budget Office, an estimated “7 million people will lose their employer-provided health insurance at the end of the year,” which means they will “likely soon be paying $1400 a year (minimum) in mandated taxes, and those costs will rise dramatically over the next few years.” This is a “huge” and “vicious” “lower-middle-class tax increase.” Mauldin says “young people who have no insurance and are making more than $10 an hour will be paying about $1300 a year, or close to 10% of their after-tax income.”
